Witt/Kieffer has been engaged to conduct the search for the role of System VP, Finance Wisconsin for SSM Health Wisconsin located in Madison, Wisconsin. The high-performing Wisconsin region generates around $3.3 billion dollars in revenue annually and is a strategic cog for the entire SSM Health system. The region is home to seven hospitals, four affiliated hospitals, a 500-provider medical group, a thriving 410,000 member health plan, and a host of other health service entities. It is part of the esteemed Catholic, not-for-profit SSM Health system headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. The system holds a storied international reputation as a pioneer in the use of quality measures to improve care. The $7 billion system is the sixth largest Catholic health system in the US and includes 24 hospitals, more than 300 physician offices, a pharmacy benefit company, two nursing homes, comprehensive home care and hospice services, a technology company, and one Accountable Care Organization across Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The health system has continually been named an “AA- or higher” rated organization by Fitch Ratings agency for nearly two decades.

The System Vice President, Finance Wisconsin (VP) will work closely with the Regional President, Operations for SSM Health Wisconsin while reporting to the System Vice President- Finance Operations. She/he will be responsible for the financial oversight and strategic positioning of the $3.3 billion integrated care network in the Wisconsin region. They will align region with the overall system goals and optimize financial results for the market. The VP will bring the required resources to the Wisconsin region to maximize efficient operations and help region's leaders achieve business and financial objectives. She/he should encourage collaboration and a sense of shared accountability and customer service, using data and benchmarking to help drive financial decision making.

Candidates should be viewed as a highly credible and professional leader.  She/he should be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the mission and values of the System.
