“Priced Out: The Economic and Ethical Costs of American Health Care”

September 24, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Commonwealth Fund and The New York Academy of Medicine invite you to a conversation with Paul Krugman of The New York Times and Tsung-Mei Cheng of Princeton University on the ethics and economics of healthcare policy. The event will focus on the life and work of Uwe Reinhardt and his final book, Priced Out: The Economic and Ethical Costs of American Health Care, an engaging and enlightening account of today’s U.S. health care system, explaining why it costs so much more and delivers so much less than the systems of every other advanced country, why this situation is morally indefensible, and how we might improve it.

Copies of Priced Out will be available for purchase and signed by the author’s wife and speaker, Tsung-Mei Cheng.
