NYC Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Month Reception and distribution of Aetna Calendar

AHHE/NHCCH collaborated with other national Hispanic health organizations in the development of Aetna’s second annual Hispanic Calendar, "My Grandmother’s Recipes", which celebrates the ways Hispanic families share culture and tradition through cuisine. The calendars have been distributed at events such as the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month at Gracie Mansion and the NYC Department for the Aging.

Quarter of Latinos Get No Health Information from Medical Professionals, New Survey Finds

WASHINGTON - More than one in four Hispanic adults in the United States lack a usual health care provider and a similar proportion report obtaining no health care information from medical professionals in the past year, according to a report released today by the Pew Hispanic Center and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

EEOC group says agencies should boost Hispanic employment and hiring efforts

Obama's Health Care Plan Would Cover More Uninsured Than McCain's

(Sept. 5, 2008) According to a preliminary estimate by the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, the health care plan proposed by presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) "would reduce the number of uninsured by 18 million in 2009 and 34 million by 2018," while nominee Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) plan would cover 1 million more Americans in 2009 and up to 5 million in 2013, reports U.S. News and World Report. .

Survey Seeks Better Sense of How Much Grant Makers Give to Minorities
