The mission of the Association of Hispanic Healthcare Executives is based on supporting the development of the educational pipeline of Latinos entering the health professions, increasing their presence in leadership and policy-making roles within healthcare institutions and on recruitment of Latinos on boards of trustees. Job Description As an award-winning provider of comprehensive health care services in southern Colorado, Memorial Health System is characterized by its high level of clinical talent and collegial culture. A few of the recent awards received by Memorial include:

The system operates two hospitals as well as a children’s hospital. Memorial Hospital Central is licensed for 616 beds and includes the Memorial Hospital for Children, in partnership with The Children’s Hospital (based in Denver). Memorial Hospital North opened in 2007 and is licensed for 98 beds. The system also operates more then a dozen outpatient facilities throughout the community. Through an ethnically diverse team of 4,700 dedicated employees and 800 physicians, the system works to optimize the health of the community.
Qualifications The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the nursing practice for all inpatient and outpatient operations throughout the system. Memorial seeks a dynamic executive to facilitate its transformation from a 100-year-old city-owned hospital to a state-of-the-art health system whose mission is “to provide the highest quality care.” The system is poised under new leadership to emerge as a progressive 21st-century organization that delivers the highest quality healthcare through a physician-led, patient-centered model. The successful candidate will possess strong individual and team skills, a commitment to developing a cutting-edge organizational culture based on Lean principles, and will value, teach and model coaching and systems transformation. An MBA, MHA, or related masters degree is required.
