Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1, M-4
Salary: $91,096 - $114,961 (+ 1,000 location pay)
Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center, located in New Hampton, NY, a leader in the field of forensic psychiatry, is seeking qualified candidates for appointment to the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1. Serving 270 patients, Mid-Hudson provides a comprehensive program of evaluation, care, treatment and rehabilitation for patients who have been involuntarily admitted for purposes specified in the NYC Criminal Procedure and Mental Hygiene Laws. DUTIES: This position is responsible for the operational management of Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center. This would include responsibility for census management and review and upgrading the treatment environment.

| Qualifications |
QUALIFICATIONS: Four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative, consultative or supervisory experience in a mental health program including at least one of the following:
One (1) year of satisfactory experience in a position as administrative head of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
OR
One (1) year of satisfactory supervisory experience and either one year of experience in a comprehensive quality assurance program or two (2) years of combined experience in at least three of the following quality assurance component areas of program evaluation, utilization review, accreditation compliance, discipline standards, medical records, professional growth and development, standards compliance or their equivalent.
OR
One (1) year of satisfactory supervisory professional, administrative or technical experience promoting the development, implementation and evaluation of the mental health service delivery system for state facilities, counties, and local/private agencies* in the following areas: program development, management procedures, community organization, resource planning, funding, grant writing, program proposals, advisory boards, consumer and community advocacy and intergovernmental relations.
*Experience must be with state facilities and counties and local/private agencies
AND
A Master’s degree in a mental hygiene discipline (including occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech pathology and audiology, psychology, recreation therapy, rehabilitation counseling, education, nursing), hospital administration, business or public administration or other administration area specifically related to health care, behavioral or social science, statistics, quantitative research; or a law degree from an accredited school; or a valid license to practice medicine in New York State or Canada. Current registration or licensure required when applicable.
