Idania Lopez Mercado is Chief Operating Officer for ILM Marketing Group Inc; her company is a full service event production company. Specializing in grass roots community marketing, branding, signage, fund raising, galas, stage production /promotions and media buys. Her experience is extensive. Producing many innovative, memorable, and successful corporate galas, fundraisers, festival\ concerts and street fairs.

Idania Lopez Mercado is a native of the Bronx and a mother of three beautiful children, Brain, Cecilia and Seth. Ms. Lopez-Mercado received her Bachelor’s Degree  from the College of New Rochelle .She has dedicated her career to the improvement of her community and the quality of life of its resident. Through leadership roles in the Health Care Industry, Community Affairs and Youth Services, Idania has been a vocal and consistent advocate for the Bronx and its people, making important contributions to the quality of life of its residents. 

Her rise through the corporate ranks began in 1992, when she joined Oxford Health Plan as a Community Affairs Representative.  Two years later, she went on to become the Community Affairs Marketing Manager for Brooklyn and the Bronx that is where she started to identify with the health care issues of the community. In June of 1997, Mrs. Lopez Mercado was promoted to the Bronx to implement health maintenance organization programs for Oxford’s Healthy Start. She developed the industry’s strongest marketing team. She witnessed the number of members more than triple under her supervision in the healthcare industry and help position the first Oxford Health Center Clinic in the South Bronx. 

Working in the Managed Care field for various companies such as Oxford Health Plans, The Bronx Health and Health First she supervised in the area of Marketing, Communications, Special Events and Community Relations.

In 2001, she joined All Med Medical Center in the South Bronx as the Director of Public Relation and Marketing.  She was influential in acquiring their article 28 certificate for the health center as well as implementing programs to address the medical needs of the community. 

                  
Mrs. Lopez- Mercado is regarded as an energetic individual. She has brought her intensely vivacious and people- oriented personality and over twelve years of experience in various aspects of the health care business and community to bear on her career.

Her strongest turf is in establishing and maintaining grassroots initiatives, developing and coordinating outreach programs, and generally working with government agencies, Business Improvement District, Community Boards Districts, schools, religious organizations and other community- based organizations to design and implement programs through out our City.

Mrs. Lopez- Mercado’s contributions to our communities have been noticed and honored.

She has received awards and proclamations from several agencies, including the Bronx Borough President’s Office and U.S District Attorney Weed and Seed program. She serves on several boards in the Bronx, including the South Bronx Board of Trades, Community District Board #1, 138th Street Merchants Association and the American Red Cross.

Mrs. Lopez Mercado was appointed in June 2006 to the New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Executive Vice President for the Bronx Chapter.
